Being that Black Friday is almost upon us, it occurs to me that I have come the realization that the lyrics to the song Santa Claus is Coming to Town, “He’s making a list and checking it twice; gonna find out who’s naughty and nice” aren’t really about Santa at all! They are really for us consumers as we try to figure out how much money we have to spend and on whom to spend it.

I woke up this morning with the song by U2 in my head “it’s a beautiful life”. One of the reasons why this song was swirling around was because I watched the ABC 20/20 special on Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly right before I went to bed. I laid in bed after watching this surreal experience that happened to a wonderful person and thought about my life. Her determination, her will to live, her ATTITUDE towards what happened it all mesmerized my thoughts.
