Love Me

The first thing I wanted to explain is that this was one of the two hardest poems I have written to date.  It was difficult because a lot of the time it is incredibly difficult for me to let my true feelings out. Anyone who knows me is well aware that I keep my “walls” up to most people.  Even the ones I am closest to have barriers … different barriers for different people at different times and in different situations.

A Veteran’s Day Tribute from Colleen

There are a lot of different reasons why I wrote this poem. But the main reason is that I have a long list of people in my family who have served.

I know that there are many people who disagree with policy, politics and our reasons for fighting in any of the wars, conflicts and operations over the two hundred plus years we have been a Country but those who serve don’t ask why and don’t care.
